It’s been more than a month since my last posting, really that long?? I thought it’s just last week or two weeks ago… and it’s July? already?I guess World Cup and Wimbledon have been keeping me quite disconnect with the calendar.
I am working on dresses for my little one, soon will be posted. Before that, this is my weekend project I did 3 weeks ago, Love applique.
Remember my previous post Cupcake applique ? Here is the link https://sweetsourmoments.com/2014/03/14/crochet-cupcake-applique/ …. This is the same shirt only in different color. For this one I used the combination of fabric and crochet.
My husband said it’s guava when I asked him what it looked like 😦 …. Hopefully you can see it as a pear.
Bought this shirt in heavy discount price on Target, on the way home suddenly got idea to add on cupcake applique to make it more appealing, then remembered that my sewing machine’s broken, eventually still have the cupcake applique but in crochet. At the end mission’s accomplished, the shirt’s nicer.
This is the applique. Not a good tutorial since I don’t have the pattern, basically just trial and error to get the shape, hopefully it still bring you inspiration.
When we left hospital last month, we got 1 dozen plain white newborn shirt …. actually some of them are 3m baby size. My baby wore this shirt home and whenever I put it on her or fold it after laundry I still feel amazed how time goes so fast and can’t believe she is here with me :). Now that she’s graduated from newborn to 1m baby I want to make this plain white shirt looks more special with some flower and color.
